Text web browser of web browser only displays text-based information.

A text-based web browser is a type of web browser that primarily displays content in text format rather than rendering graphical elements like images, videos, or complex layouts. These browsers are designed to provide users with access to web content using minimal system resources, making them ideal for various scenarios, including:

Accessibility

Text-based browsers can be highly beneficial for users with visual impairments. They can work with screen readers, allowing users to navigate and consume web content through audio output. This enhances accessibility, making the web usable for individuals who may struggle with traditional graphical interfaces.

Speed and Efficiency

Text-based browsers load faster than graphical browsers because they do not need to render images or complex scripts. This makes them suitable for users with slow internet connections or limited bandwidth. They also require less processing power and memory, making them ideal for older computers or devices with limited resources.

Focus on Content

By stripping away the distractions of multimedia elements, text-based browsers encourage users to focus on the content of the website. This can be particularly useful for research, reading articles, or accessing documentation.

Command-Line Interface

Many text-based browsers operate in a command-line interface (CLI), allowing users to navigate the web using keyboard shortcuts and commands. This can be faster for users who are familiar with keyboard navigation, as it eliminates the need for mouse interactions.

Common Text-Based Browsers

Some well-known text-based browsers include:

• Lynx: One of the oldest and most popular text-based browsers, Lynx provides a simple interface for navigating the web. It supports basic HTML and allows users to follow links and fill out forms.

• w3m: This browser not only displays text but also supports some images in terminal environments that can handle it. It can also render tables and frames.

• Links/ELinks: These are more advanced text-based browsers that provide features like tabbed browsing and support for more complex layouts while still focusing on text.

Hence, option B is correct.
